The body of the sarpanch’s son was found hanging from a tree in the hilly forest in the Dharhara police station area of Munger. This incident caused a sensation in the area and a crowd of local people gathered at the spot. The deceased has been identified as Indrajit Pratap Burman alias Budhi (22), son of Sarpanch cum Sarpanch Sangh President Rakesh Ranjan alias Kalicharan, resident of Dakshin Dharhara Panchayat Dharhara.

It is being told that when a laborer who was planting trees on the mountain saw the dead body, he informed the villagers. The incident happened at a short distance from the Sarpanch’s house. As soon as the information about the case was received, the local police along with the dog squad team also reached the spot.
The deceased’s father, Sarpanch Rakesh Ranjan, said that my son was missing since late Sunday evening. We informed the Dharhara police station on Monday about this. Today, the village labourer informed that your son’s body is hanging from a tree. After that, we reached the spot, where we identified the body. He said that on Sunday we had gone to the village for a feast. When we reached home after the feast, my younger son was not at home. When he did not return home late at night, we called on his mobile, but his mobile was switched off. The family members said that someone called, after which he left after informing someone at home.
He said that when he did not return home till night, he had filed an application in Dharhara police station on Monday. After that, his body was found hanging from a tree today. The Sarpanch said that there are many injury marks on the son’s body. The towel with which he was hanged from the tree is not his own towel. He said that my son has been murdered and the police should investigate it.
Here, as soon as the information about the incident was received, Dharhara police station chief Pramod Kumar reached the spot with the police force. Along with this, the dog squad team also reached the spot. After that the police started investigating the case.
